ABOUT
The Historical Road  Maps and Guides Collection is the product of 35 years of following the old two lane roads of America.  Just a small fraction of the collection is here, but I hope it will serve to whet your appetite for both two lane travel and old maps, guides and the like.  As time goes by, and if interest is sufficient, I hope to build the online collection to considerable size.

The site is organized in two broad categories.  The Current Exhibits (see below) feature specific maps or guides, while the States section organizes the material by state.  There may be some overlap from time to time.

As a rule these images are not for sale, copying, or duplication, but I will consider requests for use in publications on an individual basis.  If you have questions about the collection, contact Keep the Show on the Road on the American Road Magazine Forum.
1925 (December) AMERICAN MOTORIST - YELLOWSTONE TRAIL TRIP
